I kept a journal for the minis when they were little. I love it because it's in my handwriting and documents their activities and accomplishments as growing babies. Then I was introduced to blogging and this became our means of keeping up and communicating with friends and family that we didn't see often. I still love this blog, but it became neglected with the introduction of social media. I don't like that there's not a record of our daily lives with facebook and twitter so I'm going to try a five year journal. I have never heard of a 5 year journal until yesterday, but I LOVE the idea of finding ONE thing worth documenting about your day with ONE sentence so very year you will have a record of your day on the same page for five years. Maybe I won't last for five years...maybe it will be the one year or two year journal, but it seems like a quick and easy means to document your story. Maybe it will be what we had for supper, something funny that happened, or a kind word sent to or from someone. I think I'll keep it in my bathroom and write in it at night. Want to play along? Amazon has them available here.
Now I'm going to catch up with your lives. I've missed blogging!
