Almost 6 mos...really!?

1. Caden can hold his own bottle.
2. Prefers a slower lifestyle. He never complains or whines unless he has to get from point A to point B by "crawling". He can do this army scoot thing to get anywhere he wants to go, but he grunts and groans the whole way until he gets there.
3. He LOVES to eat. yes, i broke the 6 mos baby food rule. He was staring down food like a vulture so I caved. He loves peas, carrots, and squash.
4. Will sleep in on any given day. I had to wake him up at 7:30 yesterday.
5. Smiles ALL THE TIME!
6. Can reach for things and put them in his mouth.
7. Giggles.
8. He is the easiest baby!
I could just eat him for lunch everytime he smiles.
9. Can sit for about 10 sec before he rolls over
10. Loves to kick really fast in the bath tub. That's entertainment!

Isn't it funny how each little person has his/her own personality.

Caden and Riley are proving to be quite the opposites.
Caden: LOVES TO EAT
Riley: We had to wake him up to finish a bottle. He still nibbles like a bird.

Caden: sleeps from 7:30-7:30
Riley' we're still waiting for him to sleep in

Oh, how I heart George!

I got a membership to his fan club for Christmas in the 8th grade. It was complete with autographed book covers and other cheesy fan club memorabilia. I made it to the front row of Barn Hill that same year to see him. I wore my denim shirt, denim jeans, and red ropers. I remember the whole night vividly for someone who can't remember the events of last week.
Anyway, you can imagine my utter disappointment when I missed the first part of the tribute show tonight. I hope they put out a CD of tonight's performances because it was awesome. Don't you think he looks better with age? Country stars always crack me up. They're all about keepin' it real.
I'm going back to watch Jayme Foxx's rendition of You look so Good in Love.
LOVES IT.

How much fun it was to celebrate Solar's upcoming baby girl!
I'm so glad everyone could make the trip and be a part of it.
I got to hear (in person) from Molly's mom unique places to put decals.
That's right, Molly's mom...you might not be the only one rolling around with a monogrammed windshild now. HA! AND.. you have the coolest camera strap ever.

We kicked off the festivities on Thursday night by fixing mexican food and sitting by the pool. Friday was a shopping extravanganza and another girls night.
Manicures, pedicures, old friends, new friends, shopping, eating, and seeing all things pink!!!

PS..What would it take to get everyone to move here and how much fun would that be for our kids?
Girls nights, family nights, babysitters, shopping trips, outings, and vacations...

I beat you!

Tonight, we had left overs for supper..lasagna to be exact.
I made up this little game of I beat you when it comes to taking bites. Whoever takes a bite first wins. After a few rounds of it working and Riley laughing, he finally gets serious and says "mom, what's beat you mean?"
sidenote... why was it so fun when he didn't even know what it means?
I said it means one of us took the bite before the other one.
Riley: oh, like winning.

I researched preschools today and got sticker shock!! I didn't know there was a secret gold mine in preschools!
I hope the kid comes out knowing English, Spanish, German, and French.
One might need a second or third job!

I was going to post this last night and didn't get a chance.
Check out the amount of rain we received in about 10 min!!! It was the craziest thing. Hail was bouncing in the pool making it look like an ocean. My tomatoes are floating! Literally! We refer to that pool of water next to the driveway as our lake!

21 weeks

Where does the time go? I just want to bottle this up and make it last forever.
This is Caden's greeting every morning. He is the HAPPIEST baby!
He had his 4 mos check up yesterday and is doing just swell!
Nickname: Cuddle bunny or Reecy
He likes to eat (gets that from me).I think he will finish everyone's leftovers when he's just a tad bit older.
He have a roller and a scooter on our hands! He's all over his crib. OH MY!
He tried to drink from a water bottle the other day.

Rainy day activities

I LOVED being rained in yesterday! It was a day for watching movies and arts/crafts.
Here's one of the little projects that was finished yesterday.
It's Riley's little snack/art station. This was the first one of these that I have painted and it was rather fun! The details on it were much better until I smudged it with the sealant and had to touch it up..ARGHHHH. I'll reveal Caden's project when it's done.
