I guess you can tell by the picture that today's laundry day was special.
EVERYTHING is dirty and guess what, y'all. My washing machine door won't stay shut! The latch is broken. I think a certain 2 year old went swinging on it.
The Commander ordered a new part. It couldn't wait so I gathered up about six loads of laundry and headed to the PUBLIC laundry mat. After I got over how gross it was to be doing laundry in a public washing machine, I was impressed with how fast it took to finish it all.
I used the monster size machines and the ginormous dryers so we were out of there in an hour. Actually we weren't there the whole hour. I ignored the signs that read "we are not responsible for laundry left unattended". I left mine to go get the camera and lunch.
That's right, I made the Wild Thing eat his lunch in a laundry mat...and it was B-O-L-O-G-N-A. Gross. I know.

I don't know how clean the clothes really are, but I'm impressed that it's ALL done and put away. That.never.happens!
The Wild Thing was not impressed by any of it.

In fact, he was so tired that he had a full blown, two year old, melt down right there in the middle of the dryers. The other guests and employees were less than impressed with him so I finished drying the clothes at home.
What did I learn from all of this?
1)Don't take a two year old to the laundry mat. It's too hard to carry three laundry baskets and keep up with a busy body.
2)I totally want one of those metal rolling baskets with a hanging bar for my house.
