Back to Reality.

The halls are officially undecked. To be completely honest, they were 100% undecked the day after Christmas. A bit scroogy, huh?
The truth is I am overwhelmed by STUFF and there is STUFF everywhere in my house so the seasonal items had to go. Plus there is a trip for us coming up soon so I had to get out from underneath all this STUFF to find my bags. It took multiple trips to Target to get it all properly put away in the attic. I took my people on one of those Target trips. Do you shop the day after Christmas? I love to get new things for the next year. The Commander wants to put up outdoor lights next year so we went on a mission to find the perfect Christmas lights at 50% off.
OHHH, I forgot how he doesn't do anything small. In my opinion, we should have enough lights to light up our street. Next year we very well could be the Griswalds of the neighborhood. We shall see. Anyway, all of his outdoor lighting was used to fill up my last empty tote so that meant a trip back to Target for more totes.
...NEVER FUN FOR ME.
Is picking out totes stressful for anyone else or is this just another one of my OCD/neurotic ways? I can stand there for 30 minutes staring and comparing. Will this one be big enough? I wonder if two smaller ones would fit my items better? Maybe I should just buy a few of these large ones and get rid of some of the smaller ones. Then that might be too hard to get in and out of the attic. I like the ones with the latches and handles. They cost more. It is really worth paying more for a latch and handle? It is just a tote after all.
WHEW! My sensible self realizes this is not normal! That's 30 minutes in the Target storage aisle that I can't get back. I should have moved to the kitchen aisle after 5minutes for a more enjoyable shopping experience.
I did pick up three drawer organizers. Two of my drawers are happy now. I had mismatched containers in them that served no real purpose except to collect junk.
The new ones are MUCH better. They've given my drawers a fresh start anyway. I'm sure they will have collected just as much junk by this time next year...just being honest.
I am giving myself a pat on the back for the jump start on my New Year's resolution--GET ORGANIZED! Have you got any tips for the car? That seems to be my weak spot.
The passenger seat is also used as my filing cabinet. People don't always enjoy shuffling though preschool papers, bills, and mail to take a ride with me.
I don't really want something to hang over the seat, but I'm diggin this right now.

Although something like this in the back seat might be nice for some of my paperwork.

You'd think I could just pull the papers out of the car every time I get out, but that's just not my style. It's all I can do to get myself and the kids out of the car. We're usually running about 5-10 min behind so maybe that could be another resolution...leave 10 minutes earlier.

No Room at the N

I'll give you one guess as to who snatches letters.
Hint: He's been known to break ornaments and has snatched three letters from two keyboards.

Did you guess him?

We'll just think of it the Wild Thing's way of telling the Christmas story until we get a new keyboard. :)
May your Christmas week be Merry and Bright!

..she wrapped him in cloths and placed him in the manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

New Direction.

So I've been giving a lot of thought lately about this blog and how I feel like it needs a purpose or some direction for 2011.
I'll still post the kid updates mostly for the grandparents and for my own record, but I think the majority of the posts will be dedicated to time or money saving tips. I'm no expert in either area, but being a good steward of money has been in my nature for as long as I can remember. I was never one to go out and immediately spend the money I earned babysitting or working. I stock piled it in my red safe that had a lock. My sister learned the combination and often used that as leverage, but she never took a dime. Trust me. I counted that money regularly and knew exactly the balance. I've had several conversations lately that have led me to believe this might be a good direction for the blog. I'll share money/time saving tips that are my own or some that I find helpful from other people.

My first tip is to get one of these. This is your best friend. Keep it in your purse.

It's a coupon organizer from DayRunner. See the nice, neat pockets that are labeled. They are making it that easy for you to save your money. Now, there's not a pocket for child care products so I use the one dedicated to pet supplies for my kids. Pets, Kids..Sort of the same thing, right? :)
Every Sunday I go straight for the coupons. Sometimes I even plan our meals for the week based on what I'm going to get from those coupons. If you save an average of $5.00/week which is realistic and can easily be more then that's an average of $260/year right back in your account to do what you please and it takes very little effort. I wish I could say that I saved my receipts to determine exactly how much we saved last year, but I'm just not that organized.

If you don't get the weekend paper then you can still print coupons from sites like this.
I hope you'll come along on this journey and share what works for you as well.
We all value our time and money so here's to making the most of it in 2011!

Dear Santa,

I don't like all this talk about naughty and nice.
I am the Wild Thing, but I don't want you to recognize me because I like toys. I can be good, but it's hard not to break (destroy) the ornaments on the tree. They are just too easy to grab. At this rate, we won't have any ornaments for next year, but I'll work on it, Santa...really, I will.
Please bring me a grill, some toys and candy for my good behavioral efforts.

My brother wants a car, zhu zhu pets, a remote control motor cycle, a cowboy with a horse, and all the toys from the catalogs.
OH, and if you have enough room in your bag he also wants all the toys he sees on TV.

So Santa, if you could please look past my innocent, wild ways and drop off a few toys, we sure would appreciate it.
Thanks big guy,
Wild Thing.

Weekend

So much for ignoring the blog with hopes that it would magically fix itself. The ole white screen of death with a hint of Christmas is still in full force and it's going to be for a few more days weeks until I can get it fixed. This past weekend was scheduled to the max. The Commander and I both worked and the Wild Thing celebrated his 2nd birthday (at our house). We packed in two other birthday parties and a Christmas parade on Friday night. Can you say POOPED?? The Preschooler rode on his class float and it was cold! I think he summed it up best by asking his teacher if it could go any faster. We felt the same way as spectators. He has officially started his first sport...Upward Basketball. I'm so impressed with the program already. I think he's going to like it a lot. He had his first practice last night. They got their uniforms and he wanted to sleep in his. His team is the Razorbacks! He loves that!!! I'm about to enjoy a bowl of chili and put up our Christmas tree. It's the last thing left to complete our decorations. First I had to take down the left overs from the barn yard bash. Pics to come soon. Here's a sneak peak of the party. Let me remind you that we are true southerners. I was reminded of this fact as I listened to this video. I was further reminded when my dad (Grandaddy) asked who was calling the ducks and it was him. He was impressed by the sound of his own duck call. I should also let you know there were NO ducks at this party.

Easy Turkey Club Bake

Have you used up all of your turkey left overs yet?
We just finished ours up tonight with a recipe that I found in one of my cookbooks. I happened to have all of the ingredients on hand so it made for a really good and fast supper. It has turkey, bacon, and mayo...yes please.

2c bisquick baking mix
1/3c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/3c. milk
2c. cooked turkey, cubed
2 med. green onions, sliced
6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 lg. tomato (I sliced grape tomatoes)
1c. colby-monterey jack cheese, shredded

Heat oven to 450. Grease cookie sheet. Mix baking mix, 1/3 cup mayo and the milk until soft dough forms. Press dough into rectangle, 8x12 inches, on cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
Mix turkey, onions, bacon, adn 1/4 cup mayonnaise. Spoon over crust to within 1/4 inch of edges. Sprinkle with tomato and cheese. Bake 5 to 6 minutes, or until mixture is hot and cheese is melted.

I meant to snap a picture of the finished product, but we cut into it before I had a chance. I think this would be good on a pizza crust too.
Enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving.

A turkey is a funny bird.
His head goes wobble, wobble.

He says just one word.
That's GOBBLE, GOBBLE.
--Sang all week by Mini #1

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my blog friends.
We're going to enjoy a small feast this evening. I'm working a 1/2 day and then you can find me in front of the television watching the Macy's day parade.

Picture Pages.

Mini #1 is not a fan of getting his picture made. He will look in all directions except at the camera. He's even looking to the side in his preschool picture. His teacher said they took it about 100 times.
BUT..when the chics at Elle Dee Photography bring caramel apples, suckers, and the promise of a trolley ride, we get this.

When the Wild Thing is allowed to run free and be all things wild.
We get this captured. He's making a mad dash straight for the camera.

I'll treasure these next pictures forever. I appear as though I have it all together. Almost like I could give June Cleaver a run for her money and cook supper in an apron and high heels. My kids look sweet and angelic like. We're calling it an Elle Dee moment. They were GREAT for her camera! If only she could follow us around every day. But then again, I probably wouldn't want to hang pictures from today's great Pizza Hut melt down and I'm sure the holes in my socks were showing through my dirty tennis shoes.

For a few minutes anyway, we all dressed up and played nice. The chics at Elle Dee Photography were great at capturing it. Thanks girls!

Now I'm going to print 100 free pictures from Seehere.com and so can you thru Nov 30 by entering the promotional code "prints".

My Battle with Aging.

OH, there is NO glamour or entertainment to this post.
It's just a story and a new product that I don't even know if I can recommend yet.

I have a birthday right around the corner and I'm looking and feeling the effects of being another year older. blah.
I have been using Clinique's repair wear for a few months now and my wrinkles are becoming deeper and more evident so I went to our new Ulta store for a new product.

The young girl who helped me must have been in her 20's. She had perfect hair and skin. I was wearing frumpy scrubs with my ever present eye wrinkles.
She guided me to the aisle with the Bare Minerals products and recommended the Active triple treatment eye cream.

She told me it worked great for fine lines and puffiness. I wasn't aware of my puffiness issue, but she looked like she knew what she was talking about and it was 30% off so the young, smart girl made a sale!
I tried it tonight and I have to say, I do like the texture of it. I've heard the rule of thumb is 3 months for new facial products to show results so I'm conducting my own little clinical trial. The results will be in just in time for my birthday.
Do you have a good facial product that you can't live without?
What is it? I feel like I've been relying on Clinique ever since I could wear make up and it's time to grow up. SIGH....
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back for seconds on my new eye cream.

Ain't it Great to Tailgate.

Tonight was the final home game for the 2010 Razorback season. They finished strong with a 58-21 victory against UTEP. We found a new spot to tail gate this year which worked out well for the kids. There are bouncy houses and various other kid friendly activities. Rolling down the hills turned out to be a big hit too.
I love this time of year. You can see the smoke from the grills that were set up around us. Everything smelled so good. The weather was cool today so the kids and I went for the tailgate and then came home to watch the game. I have to admit. It was nice to watch it in my pajamas and paint my nails.

This time of year just flies by!
It's hard to believe this was the last home game.

Someone send my kids the memo!

To sleep an extra hour! Daylight savings time means the chaos of our house begins in the wee.hours.of.the.morning.

Do you know what happens when a certain Wild Thing gets up before he's rested? He lives up to his name!
Yesterday, I went to check on a yelling Wild Thing when my toe tried to make it out the door before the rest of my body. My middle toe is swollen and decorated with black and purple bruises. I get to wear birkenstocks now.

The Wild Thing's early morning activities:
*Turn the alarm clock up loud on a static station
*Turn the lights on and off
*Write on the walls and other various things besides paper
*Strip naked.
*Use the bathroom where ever he chooses (I'm a new proud owner of carper cleaner)
*Chase his brother with poop
*The brother screams
*The mom gags
*The Wild Thing laughs

and now he's pouring my leftover bedside drink in the floor so if you're wondering where've I've been now you know. I've been one step behind the Wild Thing. I'll be back to blogging regularly when he's in kindergarten. :)
Is it nap time yet?

Candy Collections.

We went to not one, but FIVE Halloween/Fall Festivals/candy gathering events. There are four bowls of candy sitting in the kitchen. I'm ashamed at the amount of sugar I've consumed over the past 2 days. I have vowed to knock it down a notch (or four) for next year.

The patient became an expert on his candy loving condition. The Doctor collected enough suckers to last all year. He passed up all the good Milk Duds for DUM DUMS and tootsie roll pops. I must coach him up better for next year.

For the most part, we supported health care except for one incident involving koolaid. Lucky for us,Cookie Monster saved the day.

Thursday.

I just sat down to do a hump day happy! It's been a crazy month. Where has it gone and how is it that we are already approaching the holiday season? It just seems like I put my Christmas tree back in the attic a few weeks ago. GEEZ!

Here's some bullets from this month:
*We went to a "pumpkin patch"--turns out it was really a field full of fun activities, but there was no real patch so we purchased two pumpkins from Wal Mart. Not even cool, by the way! We painted them and placed them in various places around the house.
*We've been going to football games just about every weekend. It's fun, but the walk around campus can be exhausting. I told the Commander that college kids are weak these days. They "scooter" around instead of running to early morning classes. Not cool either.
*We went to a trunk or treat. There are more candy filled festivities in store for the weekend. I'm just going to tell the truth here. I send my kids to these events to collect candy for myself. That's just an added perk if they have fun while they are there. :)
*I picked more green tomatoes tonight then I did red ones all summer long. The plants are large and lush and full of blooms. I guess they will all wilt tonight because we are expecting temperatures in the 20s. BRRRR...
*One of my friends posted this on facebook and I found it very amusing. It's from one of the radio greats, Craig Oneill, back when they could prank people on the radio.
Get ready to laugh. I just love this lady's reaction to him.

Dear Kathie Lee,

Please don't wipe your nose with your finger while you're talking on television. It's just not flattering. Poor Hoda. She's the reason I even bother to give NBC mid morning ratings, but after that snot scene I'm turning the television to watch the women of The View yell over each other.
Why am I even sitting here watching television? My lazy-itis flared so bad this weekend. I have a mound of dirty laundry, the groceries are still sitting on the counter, and the house is a wreck!
ARGGG!
Must.get.motivated!

It's a Monday around here, folks!
My refrigerator looks like the Duggars' are coming over for breakfast. We now have a designated Pillsbury drawer because I forgot the grocery list...TWICE!

Biscuits anyone?

sleepy, sleepy, tired, tired.

I feel like we've got a newborn baby in our house again. I'm getting paged at all hours of the night now that the Wild Thing has mastered climbing out of his bed.
Every time he climbs out I've been putting him right back in it. It has become a game for him, but not so much for me.
At least he's consistent in his routine when he climbs out of the crib. He goes to the recliner, yells MOMMA over and over, then waits for me. The other night I decided not to go in right away to see what happened and he fell asleep! I should take a picture of him sprawled out in the recliner, but at 1:00am I'm just happy to put him back in his crib and get some sleep myself. WHEW!

The craft fairs are taking over our area this weekend. People from all over the country come to set up booths. Maybe I'll get to visit some of the craft fairs at the convention centers this weekend, but we have the Preschooler's fall festival, the Razorback game, and a visit to the pumpkin patch on Sunday so I don't know if I'll get to them or not.

I can't BELIEVE we are approaching the holiday season! It's always fun to find holiday things at the craft fairs. Have you started to think about Christmas shopping or do you wait until after Christmas? I was an early shopper last year, but I'm holding off this year. I have an idea of what to get the kids and that's always half the battle for me. We have a BIG 2 year birthday right around the corner too. There's a farm animal party in the works. Poor kid. I always felt bad for the kids who had birthdays in December. It seems like such a bummer. Maybe we'll come up with some creative celebrations for 1/2 birthdays through out the years.
Have a good weekend. My goal is to find some time this weekend to get rested.
I'm pooped.

Guess who.

There is an ornery one in our group. Betcha can't guess which one it is.
Bless his heart, I don't know where he gets it and poor LC she was stuck right in the middle of it all.
One wouldn't quit picking on her and the other couldn't stop staring at her.
We lasted five minutes at the pumpkin patch.

Only in Dallas is it 205 degrees in the fall so we headed for the air conditioning where we enjoyed lunch. Thanks girls! It was fun.
LC, You are a trooper!

Joy in my heart.

There are so many simple things from our weekend trip to Dallas that brought me joy. It will take several blog posts to share them all, but tonight I'll share the one that I was most pleasantly surprised in finding.

The shampoo for kids and adults at the Great Wolf Lodge is Divine.
I mean really. How many hotels have you stayed in where you preferred their shampoo to your own? Never.
I meant to visit the salon and purchase a bottle of this before we left, but I forgot. The shampoo is warm vanilla and I.Love.It. I'm pretty sure I can order it online, but I told the house keeper how much I liked it and she sent me home with a small stash so that's pure joy.

The Wild Thing especially loved the soap for kids. It has a bubble gum scent that smells good enough to eat and he tried to do just that.

It was also fun to meet the sweet lady who was in charge of the Cub Club during Under Cover Boss. She's just as bubbly and sweet in person as she was on TV. I loved visiting the Great Wolf Lodge. We'll definitely be making this trip again.
There's more joy stories from Dallas to come. What a fun weekend.

Makin a list.

Today I've been scratching things off my list and getting things done before we make an extensive road trip for the first time as a family of four.
I realized today that packing for such a thing is no easy task. When I was younger we got a pillow and a coloring book. If I was lucky then I got to bring my speak and spell. We shook our fists up and down at large trucks to get them to honk and played the license plate game. It was fun, but for my own sanity I'll not be teaching this simple lesson and we'll be packing all the modern forms of entertainment made for long trips.
I'm almost ready to go and it's only Monday.
Snacks packed-check
Laundry done-check
House cleaned-check

Now it's time to focus on the fun stuff. Putting up more fall decorations and planting mums.

This week the HOGS will be playing Texas A&M and after our last defeat we might need some prayers. This one is stolen from the die hards and is probably OH SO WRONG, but it made me smile so here you go. Use it if you feel compelled to lift up the hogs this Saturday.
Our Father, who art in Fayetteville. Football be thy name.
The mighty tide fall.
Thy Hogs be called.
On Earth as they are in Heaven.
Give Richardson cramps.
And have Greg Childs catch touchdown passes.
As Julio Jones drops passes against us.
And let Mallett not throw interceptions.
But deliver us from Saban.
For ours is...the day, the win & the glory, forever and ever...Amen
Hogallelujah.

Ready for Fall.

It's beginning to feel and look a lot like fall, ya'll! I'm loving it. We have our windows open. It got cold last night so I turned the fan off early this morning. Nice.
I don't typically decorate for seasons, but I've started getting into this year. This is our dining room table which has been BARE for almost 4 years.

I'm not sure how to place a table runner so I have it at an angle. If it's straight across the table then the plates sit on the jeweled part and the ends hang in the seats. I don't know if the decorators would find shame in this or not. OH WELL. I wanted to put acorns in the tray, but they're the considered "chokables" this year so that will have to wait. I found most of this stuff at Walmart! They're getting better on the home decor. Thank you Target for raising the bar. :)

We were pulling and yelling for the HOGS this weekend, but they just couldn't pull it off. They were SO CLOSE! We handed it to Bama and based on the coaches comments and looks, I think he and everyone else knew it! We should have won that game, but maybe we'll go undefeated the rest of the year.
I made these chocolate razorbacks with heath, chocolate, and peanut butter chips for the game and they. went. FAST! I didn't get a picture of the red ones. I took those to school for the kids.

They're SO easy. We'll be making these again...and again.
Just get a candy mold on amazon or your local craft store, melt the chocolate, pour into the molds, tap the tray agaist the counter to even them out, put them in the fridge, and VOILA!

Let's go shopping.

One of Arkansas's best kept secrets has gone national. Rhea Lana's consignment sale was started by an Arkansas mom dedicated to helping other moms find bargains.
It's like the store that comes to town twice a year. I enjoy shopping with my friends and coworkers and comparing what we find. There are additional benefits to consigning with the sale. It gives you the opportunity to get the closets cleaned out AND you can shop early for the best finds.

If you live in NWA then it's not too late to start entering your items on the website. You have until midnight on Saturday September 25.
The Fayetteville Event will be September 25- October 2 at the Kantz Center. The Private Pre-Sale Event for Volunteers, Consignors, and Moms-To-Be will be Monday, September 27. Doors will be open to the public for shopping September 28-October 2.

If you can't make it to the Fayetteville event then check the website because there might be a sale coming near you. With that said, if you still can't make it to a sale near you then I think we MUST support the sale in Honolulu, Hawaii. It's part of our duty as moms, right? We support each other. I'm sure we can sign up to work a shift and earn an early shoppers pass if we hurry. WAHOO! Shopping for bargains in Hawaii. Need I say more? :)

Old School.

Look what my parents boxed up and sent home with me last weekend. They found these things in what used to be my room at their house.
I think it's safe to say that I was either REALLY well rounded or REALLY random.
We've got Disney, the fashionable Boys II Men, and country's greatest.
I'm sure I spent long hours back in 1988 waiting for "Deeper than the Holler" to play on the radio so I could hit play/record at the same time. Then I could only hope the DJ wouldn't mess it up by talking at the end of the song.

These tapes need to go in the trash, but each time I walk by them something else will catch my attention like "Wind Beneath My wings". Ha! Then I'm reminded how much I loved the movie Beaches and could have totally played the role of CC Bloom. I knew all the words, after all.

It's too bad there's not a picture to compare because we even resembled each other back in 1988 (except for the red hair part). :)
I guess one could even go so far as to say my acting career ended before it even began a few years prior with my debut of Father Abraham. I was trying out for the broadway show, Annie, at the coliseum in Russellville. In my 5 year old mind, you pay no attention to the word CUT when singing/performing Father Abraham. He had many sons after all. I am one of them and so are you so I spent the entire song praising the Lord with my right arm all the way down to my left leg.
So there we have it. NO Annie roles, NO CC Bloom, and no other acting roles ever came my way, but I still remember the words to Father Abraham and my 5 minutes of fame.

Back Seat Funnies.

Some of the funniest things are overheard coming from the backseat of my car. One day the oh so clever 5 year old picked up an airplane and narrated as the captain. He got such a laugh that he does it word for word every time there's an airplane in sight.

My new favorite description of the Bible came to fruition tonight as we were on our way home from Tiny Tims class.

Happy 21 Months, Wild Thing.

So.. I've really dropped the ball on the kid updates, but here's to catching up.

*Wild Thing,
You love to eat and you will eat anything.
*You are potty trained for all practical purposes. If we take you consistently, you will go!
*You say one word (Mama), but you have a vast vocabulary. When asked you can point to just about anything. The lack of speaking concerns me...OK stresses me, but maybe it's because you just can't get a word in edge wise around here. :)
*You tackle bigger kids. One being a four year old girl and she cried. (We'll teach you that's not the best way to get the girls)
*You are tough and ALL BOY!
*You can call the HOGS (well...the WOOOOO part with your hands in the air)
*You make motor sounds for toy cars, trucks, and flying airplanes.
*You like to eat in your high chair while squatting instead of sitting down.
*You automatically give hugs and kisses when I drop you off at the babysitters.
You learned this from your brother and it makes my day.
*You no longer cry in the church nursery. You do a short protest by lying (or is it laying) on the floor when we drop you off and then it's over before the door shuts behind us. The protest used to last the entire hour.
*You like to brush your teeth. You like it so much that you will take any toothbrush and toothpaste you can find and then go hide. There is a collection on our kitchen counter that I've taken from you.
*You enjoy making messes. It bothers you if things are orderly so you will promptly arrange them to your liking.
Happy 21 Months, Wild Thing!

Yes, he pushed his chair here to get a pacifier.

Diptacular!!!

I.love.boomama! I love her for the daily dose of humor she provides.
I love her because she says things like "Give the Lord a handclap of praise".
AND..I love her because of the 261+ dip recipes found here
This is tailgating heaven. AMEN?

We might be having this for supper. She's posted it a couple of times, but it's new to me and I can hardly wait to stuff myself silly with it.
White Rotel Dip

3 packages of pork sausage (mild or spicy is fine – but use at least 1 maple-flavored)
4 packages of cream cheese
2 cans of Rotel tomatoes

Brown sausage and drain. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and heat until cheese is melted, being careful to stir often.

Serve with tortilla chips. And as I said the first time I posted it, if you’re worried about eating cream cheese AND sausage in the same dish, don’t worry because the tomatoes are TOTALLY healthy, and therefore you’ll be just fine. (from BooMama--so you know it's true.) :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Boomama!
Which dip or appetizers will you be serving?

GO HOGS GO!

Falling for Fall.

Yes, I know that's a really cheesy title, but sometimes I draw title blanks and today is one of those days.
With that said, I've come to the realization that I like fall. I never thought I'd say that since I love everything about summer (minus the 110 degree temperatures) and I usually don't want summer to end, but now I'm ready.
My tomatoes and peppers were a flop this year so it's time to move on to pumpkin painting, Christmas shopping, and calling the HOGS!
I've even jumped the gun and put out some fall decorations around the house. I'm crazy like that :)
New this fall: Sprout soccer for the Preschooler. This should be interesting and his first time to play a sport.
In other news, the Commander and I are going to see Cross Canadian Ragweed Friday night and the HOGS on Saturday. I'm excited about both of these events, but I'm equally excited about sleeping until I wake up.
GO HOGS!

PET PEEVE!

WARNING: RANT AHEAD!

I just opened my Hanna Andersson and fell in love with the overalls and jackets for girls on page 2.

Then there is page 3!!!! Why is it the clothing companies can come up with the cutest things for girls and completely boring for boys!? The overalls and jackets for boys are nothing short of boring, blah, and bland. SERIOUSLY!

Sorry Hanna Andersson, but I won't be ordering the boring stripes!

Thank you www.bodenusa.com for keeping it even and equally adorable for boys and girls!

Making Memories.

Who knew this day of impromptu events would turn into such a memory making day?
We sure didn't.
I didn't get up this morning with the intent of joking with Ryan Mallet and telling him exactly where to sign my football, but I did.
He threatened to sign his name over Coach Petrino's autograph. I told him he didn't want to do that or I would have to come across the table and tackle him.
This was his expression. (He obeyed. :))

I didn't know when we decided to stop by the Razorback fan day that Coach Broyles would set up an autograph booth right next to where we were standing.

I really didn't know it would feel like 110 degrees outside and we would sweat like pigs, but the kids would still have fun none the less.

I really, REALLY wasn't expecting to run into an old high school friend who we would wait in line with to complete our signatures.

Now we have this little treasure as a reminder of our day.
It was certainly worth the heat and long lines!
