Chicken-fil-A as Riley would say..
We got a new Chick-fil-A by our house so we met up with Becca, Sam, and Sofia to try it out. Sofia was not as excited about eating there as we were.

However, the playground became more appealing to her.

Sam and Riley played for over an hour. I didn't think I would ever get Riley out of the car until I remembered the little secret Shoptaw told me about trading in the toys for ice cream! Thanks for that tip Amy, I didn't have to climb into the car!

Then my parents came up to visit us today. They played with our new bowling alley until it quickly became a road for the cars.

All things CARS

Riley has watched the Disney movie Cars several times with all the extra time at home so it's all things CARS this week.
Please note that his food is moved so you can see the characters on his plate.
He LOVES playing with these cars so much that he sleeps with one at night. He knows all of their names and even takes inventory when one is missing.
A few new sentences this week:
Mama, WAIT ON ME (i'm only going into another room)
Mama, WAIT ON ME (i'm only going into another room)
Do you hear me? (repeated in the same firm expression that he heard it)
Noah and Riley
Our babysitter had to take off for an emergency this week so Noah and Riley have been staying at each other's houses. Thanks to Karen and Scottie, Mom, and Nana Karen for helping to babysit. They had lots of fun and Riley has been asking "Where'd Noah go?" all week?

Tonight we met up with Krista and Jackson for dinner at our new Shogun Restaurant.
Riley most enjoyed the "drum sticks" that accompanied his silverware.
That Jackson is about 26 pounds of pure happy! Can he be any cuter?
This was his expression for the whole dinner.

Here we are before dinner.

Here's Riley watching for Baby Jackson

Weekend update

My parents came up Saturday to visit. Mom came bearing toys. She brought little cars from the Disney film Cars and it has provided HOURS of weekend entertainment.
Sunday we paid a visit to Ross's parents where Riley took a ride on a two wheeler. I don't mean as in vehicle. It was a two wheeler as in moving large items. Even Nana Karen went for a ride and Riley enjoyed every second.
After we left there, we went to the elementary school by our house and played on the playground. It's windy, but the 70 degree weather was great!
